Fine Art Valuation

As active picture dealers with a broad knowledge of the fine art trade, we are pleased to be able to provide valuations for the purposes of insurance, probate, family division or market appraisal. Market appraisal, involving disposal of an item within a reasonable time, is frequently required. We are happy to advise of the different ways of effectively selling a painting, with the different values that might apply e.g. we could buy from you, sell on commission on your behalf, recommend an auction house or advise an alternative method.

Our fully researched and detailed valuations are acceptable to insurance companies, solicitors, executors and estate administrators. Pictures can either be brought to us, or we can visit the location of the pictures. Fees are usually determined on a "charge per hour" basis once the number of items to be valued is known.
